The Costa Blanca on the north side is an area full of orange trees and majestic mountains. The sandy beaches are stretched, beautiful and quiet. From top to bottom, you will find places like Gandia, Olivia, Pego, Ondara, Jativa, Els Poblets and Denia. The castle in Jativa is definitely worth a visit. Especially in Denia, many people before you, have purchased a beautiful villa. Villas with stunning views over the Mediterranean sea, mountains and all the beautiful greenery. Most homes have a private pool and even a guest house.
From the new marina in Denia departs, from the harbor, a ferry to Ibiza and Mallorca. Under Denia, the coast changes in rugged coves and rocky beaches which again turns into beautiful long sandy beaches. In Javea and Moraira are also many people who purchased a beautiful villa, especially because of the beautiful beaches with fine sand. One of the most famous tourist places is Calpe.
An important source of income for Altea is tourism, since the 50´s it has grown due to the Mediterranean climate, beaches and the characteristic town center. Namely whitewashed houses and winding streets The coast south of Calpe, has a micro climate which clearly makes winters warmer than the north of Calpe. That makes Altea and the whole area, including nearby town of Alfaz del Pi very attractive to people who want to stay during the wintermonths, such as Dutch, English, Germay and Scandinavian people.
Last but not least, we have at the most southern side of the northern Costa Blanca Benidorm. Benidorm is a resort on the Spanish coast, located 41 km from Alicante and has about 70,000 inhabitants.
